“Looking for a job in today’s economy can be a real drag. Take Lee Standish (Ben Koldyke), one-time breadwinner and current unemployment statistic. After being laid off, Lee will do anything it takes to support his family – even if it means putting on a skirt and heels. So Lee raids his wife’s wardrobe and struts into Fleming Pharmaceutical Company as “Lee” – an awkward, man-ish sales rep with killer credentials and a really sad handbag. His new boss Vanessa is so wowed by his job performance, he’s also able to swing a job for his friend Angel, who hopefully may be able to learn how to connect more with women now that he’s had to become one himself. Steady employment is great, but there are other perks to their new gig, too. Being a woman makes Lee a better husband and kick-starts Angel’s transformation from a womanizer into a respectful, standup guy.”

Lee’s character could have:

• Gone back to school to learn a trade
• Become a stay home dad
• Live like the rest of American’s suffering . . . learn to  live on less.

But NOOOOOO!  ABC wants to make fun of the “other option” — dress like a woman, talk in a high pitch voice and then only then does he know how to be a human being.  I’m not buying it.

This is so 1984

1984 brought to television Bosom Buddies. It was a fun show because we were a different country.

• 1984 US President (Ronald Reagan) goes to China and created a new structure of economy that the US will never recover
• “Where’s the beef?” was the hottest thing to say.
• Soviet Union was a political target.
• Homophobia was the acceptable norm
• Being different was an acceptable reason for bulling and a lame target for entertainment

Haven’t we grown as a country?

The world has grown to understand and appreciate diversity.  This ABC program has grown straight men portrayed as con-artists while poking fun of the woman’s working environment. How dare ABC!  ABC absolute attempt to poke fun at hard working women, develop dumb professional female characters, and let’s be honest — we know they are men 20 feet away – is only a poor attempted humor directed at the female gender.

It’s not smart television.  It promotes manipulation. It anti-men by showing a man’s only solution to succeed it to become a woman. It is anti-working women. It is anti-women. It is anti-intelligence.  It is ABC’s con on America.

Shame on ABC

Concerned for Henry, she decides to stay for a while, but she soon suspects that Storybrooke is more than it seems. It’s a place where magic has been forgotten, but is still powerfully close… where fairytale characters are alive, even though they don’t remember who they once were–including the Evil Queen who is now Henry’s foster mother. The epic battle for the future of all worlds is beginning, but for good to win, Anna will have to accept her destiny and fight like hell.

In celebration of the annual 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France, Audi of America and Xbox/Turn 10 will again join forces to host the 2nd Annual AXF-24 Challenge, a four-hour Xbox LIVE Forza Motorsport 3 racing experience at the Audi Forum New York City on June 12, 2010 between 1 pm and 5 pm.

The first leg of AXF-24 Challenge opened with North American players on Xbox Live competing for the fastest lap times on the 24 Hours of Le Mans track: the Circuit de la Sarthe, while piloting the 2009 Audi #2 Audi Sport Team Joest R15 TDI.  The three fastest drivers will be invited to compete in the AXF-24 Challenge on June 12th in New York City, which takes place while the real race takes place in France.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race is held in Le Mans, France, on an 8.5-mile track made up mostly of public roads.  It is considered one of the top three races in the world, along with the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix and the Indianapolis 500. This year will bring the 78th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, which began in 1923 but was canceled for nine years during World War II. Audi has won eight of the last 10 years at Le Mans.

The top prize for the winning AXF-24 competitor will be a 1-day R8 Audi sports car experience package in Sonoma, CA.

Audi, Xbox and motorsports fans planning to be in the New York City / Tri-State region on June 12th are invited to come to the Audi Forum New York City to watch the competition unfold and enjoy:

• Live feed of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race
