Soapbox Rant: Suggestions To Fix The US Government

capitol-building-address

The largest piece of tax anyone should pay is the “Local Tax”, then “State Tax” and final “Federal Tax”.  But it is not that way.  We pay our “Federal” taxes and various federal agencies decide how much “State” and “Local” is returned in form of requests, programs and grants.  The focus has never been the local, it is time to start changing that . . . with congress. We need solutions that will end corruption in the US Federal Government. It is time to bring Congress home. Changes in Congress Each member of congress should make the medium salary of…

Soapbox Rant: Walker Lied to Small Business Owners

scott_walker

Wisconsin Governor Walker Lied . . .   In Wisconsin, 98 percent of all small businesses will qualify for income-tax relief under my plan, freeing them to expand and create jobs.         Wisconsin Gov. Tech Talk : Are You Ready?

There were no letters for ‘Dear Techie’ this week, so here is me on my tech soapbox. Ashland, WI has natural beauty, outdoor activities all year long and great Main Street shopping. There are no technology jobs, tech start-ups nor technology job agents; this would be fine in the 20th century when people would move based on rumors or family connections concerning employment. But times have changed. Nowadays, technology can define a town. People surf…
