Expert Tells Candidates to ‘Get Some Sleep’

â’Get some sleep,â’ is the first piece of advice presidential debate expert Allan Louden has for presidential and vice presidential candidates preparing for upcoming debates. â’These candidates have to be exhausted,â’ says Louden, professor of communication at Wake Forest University. â’And that is when mistakes happen. Practice saying what takes five minutes in 30 seconds,â’ he suggests. But, he cautions against over preparing. â’Too much new information only serves to confuse. Briefing books should be brief.â’ Louden complete recommendation list: Get some sleep – these candidates have to be exhausted. Mistakes happen when the internal governor is not working....

Former GOP senator :: Palin a ‘cocky wacko’

Former GOP senator :: Palin a ‘cocky wacko’

Former Rhode Island Republican Sen. Lincoln Chafee has called vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin a “cocky wacko” and said her selection as John McCain’s running mate has energized supporters of Democrat Barack Obama. Chafee left the Republican Party last year after losing his bid for re-election and now supports Obama. He told an audience Tuesday at the New America Foundation in Washington that the Alaska governor has revived a “lackluster McCain candidacy.” “They’ve just thrown this firestorm, this tornado, into the whole presidential election,” Chafee said in response to an audience member’s question about whether the Obama campaign should...

Palin : The Next Cheney

Palin : The Next Cheney

With John McCain and his new running mate offering more of the same lies and distortions on the campaign trail, the Democratic National Committee today relaunched its website The Next Cheney. Since McCain chose Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, the American people have learned that she suffers from ethics problems, held secret Cheney-style energy hearings, and relied on the same old crowd of Republican lobbyists to steer earmarks back to Alaska. Since McCain and his campaign have refused to run on the real McCain-Palin record, the DNC is setting the record straight at The Next Cheney. “Between...

Please don’t say it is so . . . the woman who played Rizzo (Grease), the Mother of a lesbian (Something About Jane) and the First Lady (West Wing). Not only that was she at the GOP convention but sitting in Palin seating with the Alaskan Delegates!  I just never suspected.  There has to be a legit reason, maybe research for a part . . . anything is better than Stockard an Republican.

Palin in VP Position

Palin in VP Position

Texas Republicans celebrated U.S. Sen. John McCain’s choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate, saying she has solid social-conservative credentials and that the selection of a woman marks a historic moment for the GOP and a chance to appeal to disgruntled supporters of Hillary Clinton.  Do you think it will work? Would millions of Clinton supports jump ship for the sake of a woman’s VP position? I do not believe that for a minute. If that were true, the female voters would have not waited this long.  There have been many legit female presidential candidates and...
