The National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a report from the HIV Incidence Surveillance System that identified several U.S. subpopulations as being at increased risk for contracting HIV. The report confirmed that black men who have sex with men, including those who also have sex with women, were among those at highest risk. September 23, 2008 TCM will be bringing crossdressing/drag classic films to the television screen.  The movies are, starting at 8:00 PM with Yentel and then straight into Victor/Victoria, Some Like it Hot and finishing up the the new classic movie Tootsie. What this goes to show that even a controversial subject of crossdressing/drag can be entertaining.  Although I would have added a couple more films to make it a week long adventure. I would include Torch Song Trilogy, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Psycho, Glen or Glenda, Sylvia Scarlett, and The Kremlin Letter TCM always does...

Homophobic MPAA Drops NC-17 for Hetrosexual Movie

In a rare reversal, the Motion Picture Association of America’s (MPAA)ratings board has removed the NC-17 rating from Kevin Smith’s latest comedy, “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” and will replace it with an R rating. The MPAA said that it had agreed to overturn the rating after hearing arguments from Smith and attorney Alan Friedman, representing The Weinstein Co., which is distributing the movie.
