I found much humor in the first 2008 Presidential Debate between McCain and Obama.  It was all about Jim Lehrer.  Here is a man that began his news career at The Dallas Morning News and Dallas Times-Herald, covering the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963 and a retired Marine. Lehrer was considered an ‘Anderson Cooper’ of his generations. He should have kicked debate ass!  But, he was all comic relief. Expert Tells Candidates to ‘Get Some Sleep’

â’Get some sleep,â’ is the first piece of advice presidential debate expert Allan Louden has for presidential and vice presidential candidates preparing for upcoming debates. â’These candidates have to be exhausted,â’ says Louden, professor of communication at Wake Forest University. â’And that is when mistakes happen. Practice saying what takes five minutes in 30 seconds,â’ he suggests. But, he cautions against over preparing. â’Too much new information only serves to confuse.
