Time capsules are sometimes created and buried during celebrations such as a World Fair, cornerstone laying for a building, or at other events. You don’t have to wait for any special occasion, Flickr is a wonderful source of dated material and most of the stuff isn’t for available on ebay.

Things to look for:

  • Hair Styles, hello 80′s
  • Cars
  • Fashion, especially shots of swimwear
  • Military Photos, which decade has military and those who do not.
  • Men wearing hats, some are even in doors.
  • Main Street slowly dissolving in society
  • Crafts
  • Logos vs Advertisements
  • Architecture Changes
  • What individuals dress like to look like a decade.
  • You might come to a coupe of photos and wonder, “who tagged that photo?”
