Need Shingles?

I am not talking about a horribly painful rash on your body. It is about using something we recycle already. [google -3648487789039251335] I totally wish I had something to build.

Photoshop Web Based

Photoshop Web Based

Adobe Systems will make a basic version of its Photoshop photo-editing software available for free online. Photoshop Express will be completely Web-based so consumers can use it with any type of computer, operating system and browser. And once they register, users can get to their accounts from different computers. Take a test drive. But it isn’t any better than the software you get with any digital camera CD.   Disappointing, but at least you can store online, but you can do that with many other online photo storage options. 1.5 out of 5.

At The Pump

So, CNN puts out a report on how to save at the pump. Drive around and look for the best prices (use gas) Go to SamsClub (and give the money to Walmart) Everybody go Wednesday am (now that everyone will go, expect long lines) Ignore traffic (just go through the toll booth) Close the windows (forget fresh air) or get a sleek sports car. Cheaper gas (duh) Thanks CNN. Here are some real suggestions: Drive only when you absolutely need to drive. Park centrally (park at the store, walk to the bank, walk to the pharmacy). Hollywood Hacks

Hollywood Hacks

So, Hollywood fails to be creative. During the writer’s strike you think studios would have at least taken this opportunity to build a program that pulls original content. Instead, Hollywood looks to hack at remakes. Forget it has been proven time and time again big budgets do not bring home the box office. Look at Juno, still in the top 20, had a budget of $7.5 million but the box office is still adding to the box office profit of $141,099,121 million! These have failed to meet their filming budget demands (read more…): Jumper – Even with a creative movie…

Now there is Socialthing! a Boulder, CO based company that is finding new ways to interact with your friends online. This was introduced at SXSW and is slowly building…

Home School

I am here working, in a coffee shop. I came in around 9:00 am this morning to get some programing done while Jenny is seeing patients about 2 blocks away.  It was very quiet.  I could actually hear my keyboard ‘click, click, click’.  Then around 10:00 am it started to get a busy. This is when I put on my headphones, turned on my Skype, and started listening to NPR via Sirius radio. It became indoctrinated with home school kiddies.  Yikes!!! They were spitting milk, grabbing food from others and these  8 year olds were playing in the ‘play area’…

A Office Prank

A Office Prank

Here is a great office prank (awesomeology): Buy endless amounts of papercups Arrange empty cups on your target’s desk Staple all together. Fill each cup with your choice of beverage Go back to work The only problem I have with this prank, this has to be for a person who is very neat and tidy. Which means, the victim will not be happy about having their desk disturbed and their desk area is completely disarrayed. You have to make sure that none of the items on the desk is ruined. This includes: Papers PDA and connection USB items Phone Keyboard…

Women’s Office Bathroom Etiquette

As published in Women’s Health Magazine: 1. A convenient ripping distance I have no idea why anyone would put the TP roll on so the loose end of the paper lies against the wall. Instead, put it on at a convenient ripping distance. I do not want to fight with toilet rolls while hovering over a space I’d rather not touch. 2. Grab a wad and pass it under If you see there isn’t any toilet paper in a stall, don’t just sit contentedly in the adjacent one while some poor soul walks into the TP-less potty. Grab a wad…

Gamer Economy

GameStop, love it or hate it, is making big bucks off the gaming industry. They just reported that their annual sales were $7.1 billion for February, 2007 – February, 2008, which is up 33% from the year before. New game sales accounted for the bulk of that revenue up 38.4% from the previous year due to the big success of their top five selling games: Call of Duty 4, Rock Band, Assassin’s Creed, Super Mario Galaxy and Guitar Hero III.
