Frugal Tip: NBC and NFL Will Offer Live Streaming of Super Bowl

The Super Bowl will be streamed online and to phones for the first time, the NFL said Tuesday. NBC’s broadcasts of wild card Saturday, the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl will be available on NFL Network online, NBC Network online and through Verizon’s NFL Mobile app. The service will include additional camera angles, in-game highlights and live stats — and replays of those always popular Super Bowl ads. The Who guitarist Pete Townshend has urged Apple’s iTunes to use its power to help new bands instead of “bleeding” artists like a “digital vampire”. Rockstar Games has revealed the fifth generation of its Grand Theft Auto series will be set in a city based on Los Angeles. The developer released a trailer revealing just over one minute’s worth of footage. Previous Grand Theft Auto versions have only been released after Sony and Microsoft updated their consoles; currently there is speculation Rockstar will follow pattern and wait until Sony and Microsoft released updates to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Note Rockstar has not revealed the release date, it is hopeful this latest version will run on the current hardware.
