Hermit Creek Farm is the only certified organic CSA located in northwestern Wisconsin. We are a stand-alone CSA, growing all of its offered produce, syrup, and pork on its own land located about 15 miles south of Lake Superior as the raven flies.
Hermit Creek Farm offers standard and full share sizes as well as several special add-ons such as a spring “Kick Start the Season” share, an “Autumn Harvest” share, an every-other -week share, and a pastured pork share. Our standard CSA season runs 17 weeks. By adding on a spring and autumn share, you can extend your season of fresh locally grown produce to 24 weeks! New for the 2010 season is a “Market Share” which allows members to purchase what they want from our stand at the Ashland Area Farmers Market on Saturdays at a members-only discount price.
Boxes include a mix of what is in season and typically contain 8-12 items including seasonal fruits, greens, herbs, melons, honey, maple syrup, farm fresh eggs (spring share only) and more. We pride ourselves in growing the widest diversity and highest quality crops possible, and with season extension, often have veggies such as tomatos, cucumbers and other items weeks ahead of other local farms.
