I contacted Roku‘s press office concerning more sports.
Question: Now that MLB is successful, I being one of the MLB subscribers, will Roku take advantage of NFL, NHL, Nascar, WNBA or other online streaming sports and incorporate it into the Roku. Note: The NFL is streaming internationally from NFL.com. Getting an option like the NFL would make any other device nothing more than a paperweight.
Roku’s Brian Jaquet’s Response: “Weâ’re talking to a number of sports leagues, but nothing to report at this time.”
Get Roku and watch what you want, on your schedule. It’s the ultimate in instant gratification.
Final Thoughts
Cable and Satellite television is getting more expensive with content you can’t control. Going for simple solutions is best. Netflix has a growing catalog for mailing and instant watching. What is next for Roku? I would love to see a browser.
