Microsoft Did Something Nice, Sort Of
Microsoft was to retire Office 2004 for Mac by October 13, 2009, this would end updates, fixes and including security patches. Microsoft said that it would instead extend the five-year-old suite’s support until Jan. 10, 2012. I have a problem with ending support for a product, ever. If there is a security issue there should be at least an attempt to fix or make the software open source for others to fix the issues. If Microsoft will no longer support a product then make it Open Source, give it back to the user. (microsoft . . .)
