A time capsule is a historic cache of goods and/or information, usually intended as a method of communication with people in the future. Time capsules are sometimes created and buried during celebrations such as a World Fair, cornerstone laying for a building, or at other events. You don’t have to wait for any special occasion, Flickr is a wonderful source of dated material and most of the stuff isn’t for available on ebay.
Things to look for:
- Hair Styles, hello 80′s
- Cars
- Fashion, especially shots of swimwear
- Military Photos, which decade has military and those who do not.
- Men wearing hats, some are even in doors.
- Main Street slowly dissolving in society
- Crafts
- Logos vs Advertisements
- Architecture Changes
- What individuals dress like to look like a decade.
- You might come to a coupe of photos and wonder, “who tagged that photo?”
