With AT&T iPhone users allowed to make VOIP, phone calls via wif/internet, the trend will be for data plans over calling plans. So again, why have a cell phone?  Wouldn’t it be cheaper to get an unlocked phone with wifi with data plan then stuck to a calling service plan?  (news factor . . .)
