1/4th Nobel Prize is Better Than None
Two United States citizens win 1/4th of a Nobel Prize for fiber optics and digital photography. Who got the other 1/2? Some guy in China for groundbreaking achievements concerning the transmission of light in fibers for optical communication. But Facebook wouldn’t be the same without a digital camera, fiber optical communication no so much. (nobel prize . . .)

Coming Soon : Windows 7 Compatible Check
Bad move Microsoft mentioning how great Vista’s program worked for many people.  Oh, just in case you didn’t know, Windows 7 is just a service patch for Windows Vista. Vista was so bad that in less than a year Microsoft decided instead of free several free service patches they just decided to take Vista install all the service patch changes and call it Windows 7.  Note, to find out if your computer can use Windows 7 you have to download software.(microsoft . . .)

EU Has More Control Over Microsoft Than USA
Microsoft takes full advantage of US citizens with bloatware and control of software.  The EU doesn’t want people stuck with the Microsoft IE browser and Media Player. EU demands that Microsoft rewrite their codes and operating system to allow removal of Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player from Windows Computers, which is not an option in the United States. (computer world . . .)

Kindle Goes International With Raises Book Prices
Best-seller books will cost $11.99 or more for international customers, with about 100,000 other titles available for less than $5.99, Amazon said. These prices are higher than in the U.S. where most best sellers cost $9.99. Did I miss something?  A digital book got more expensive because of a larger market?  I can access any website around the world and downloads without any cost. Why should it be more expensive to get a digital down for an exclusive product.  Amazon did here about the Apple Tablet rumors, right? (amazon . . .)

A Laptop with two monitors, no kidding.  (zdnet . . .)

Dingo Ate My Ticket
Ticketmaster fails terribly, scalpers and ebay sellers get all tickets. Seriously nobody could get tickets. Ticketmaster needs to fix this internationally.  Ticketmaster is loosing ground and trust. (smh . . .)

Where is Technology Heaven? Ghana
Large quantities of broken computers, monitors and TVs from manufacturers including Philips, Canon, Dell, Microsoft, Nokia, Siemens and Sony are being illegally shipped to Africa to end up in scrap yards in Ghana. I mean it can’t be Technology Hell, because there are no bad programs only bad programmers. (greenpeace . . .)

Sing a Song of Sixpence
Blackbirds found to have better understanding of physics than chimpanzees. So, how did they get into the pie?  (guardian . . .)

Airports Will No Longer Smell Like Sweaty Feet, I Hope
New technology will be used at airports.  Future Attribute Screening Technology, or FAST have sensors and cameras located at security checkpoints would measure the natural signals coming from your body — your heart rate, breathing, eye movement, body temperature and fidgeting. So those, like me, who have a legitimate fear of flying crashing have to be prepared for the cavity search. (cnn . . .)

Denver People Make Your Choice : Sex vs Cell Phone
33% women and 20% men choose cell phone. What if it was a generic phone that only did phone calls? I think it would be allot lower.  (abc . . .)

Bad Lazy Parenting
Children as young as 5 years old use computers without parental supervision. Who are these parents? I guess they want their sexually solicited and possibly much worse. (daily mail . . .)
