The Middle Class (.org) :: This website can be a useful tool both for evaluating Congress and for pointing those concerned about the American middle class in the right direction on key pieces of legislation. While many organizations issue scorecards based on a single issue, the Drum Major Institute is distinctive in its focus on an overall agenda of expanding opportunity for middle-class and aspiring middle-class Americans. Notable bills that have not yet been voted on are briefly discussed in the â’Pending Legislationâ’ section.
The middle class is more than an income bracket. Over the past fifty years, a middle-class standard of living in the United States has come to mean having a secure job, a safe and stable home, access to health care, retirement security, time off for vacation, illness and the birth or adoption of a child, opportunities to save for the future and the ability to provide a good education, including a college education, for oneâ’s children. When these middle-class fundamentals are within the reach of most Americans, the nation is stronger economically, culturally and democratically. (The Middle Class.org . . .)

Instructables :: The coolest site on the Web for how-tos. If you’re looking for a new project, whether it’s how to grow delicious peppers or how to modify your Xbox for rapid-fire cheating in first-person shooters, Instructables is the place to look. Best of all, it’s a DIY site in the sense that anyone can contribute a project.
The best of the Instructables are extremely well thought out, with excellent photographs and detailed instructions. The worst areâ’¦less so. But, overall, the quality of the instructions is high. Quite often the projects are improved upon by the site’s community, whose many comments show up in the comments area beneath each Instructable.
The discussion is lively, helpful, sometimes snarky, and usually entertaining, and adds considerable value to a great many of the projects. I’d recommend reading the comments before starting any project, as there are often suggestions for easier, cheaper, or safer ways to accomplish some of the steps.(Instructables . . .) (Twitter . . .)

The release of Aliens #1 will coincide with the thirtieth anniversary of the Ridley Scott-helmed film masterpiece, Alien!
A group of wildcat planetary prospectors plant their flag on a distant new world, rich in land, resources . . . and mystery. Within this seemingly uninhabited planet lies the greatest archaeological discovery in history, an ancient, abandoned complex of impossible proportions carved deep within the living rock, a mind-numbing labyrinth of passages, ramps, bridges, and galleries that seems to extend limitlessly.
But as the exploration of the leviathan dead city proceeds deeper and deeper, the members of the team slowly begin to lose their grip on reality. But madness gives way to fear as the explorers begin to disappear one by one. Something else lives within the necropolis, a faceless horror as deadly and merciless as space itself, a lethal terror that has waited centuries to awake . . . and destroy.
At long last, Dark Horse Comics heralds the return of the heavyweight champion of modern science-fiction/horror, Aliens! Aliens #1 is the first act in the relaunch of all three classic Dark Horse/Fox comics series.

Juice lets users select and download shows and music and play whenever they want on their iPods, portable digital media players, or computers automatically.
Juice supports most RSS protocols and scans for enclosures. If the enclosure is in the form of a BitTorrent file, it will download the torrent file in the background. If the mediaplayer on the system supports it, the downloaded content is automatically added to playlists. The content is kept on the local harddrive in nested folders, titled with the show’s name.
