iPhone or Blackberry

By rhea

In our process of moving, so does our phone service.  It seems that Ashland, WI is an alltell world, while here in the Minneapolis, MN it is ‘anything goes’.  We have been happy with At&t and would be interested in the iPhone (since we already have the iTouch), but we would need a $400 cell phone booster for the car when we travel outside the little town visiting other little towns.

My Sister-in-law (Shannon) swears by the Blackberry and her husband (My brother, Jerry) has the iPhone and loves it.

I would love the iPhone just for the option of surfing the internet and having access to all the new applications. But the Blackberry (B) is a die hard tried and true option. B-People are finding value and are very loyal to the brand.

So, why is the iPhone getting all the attention?  What is the real difference?  It is about function? Is it about having the latest and greatest gadget?

Both the iPhone (Real Cost of iPhone) and BlackBerry Curve will cost (for a 2-year contract) around $2000. So, which do I choose?

It comes down to functions.

  • Will it sync with my work and personal emails?
  • Will it allow me to use as a GPS?
  • How much will it cost to add a line?
  • Will is allow texting?
  • Will it surf the internet?

I still don’t know.  How does one Try it before Buying it?

Update : I made a decision (its not what you think)

Wouldn’t get a crackberry after using the iPhone interface. It all works so well, beautiful device.
