I live in the UK, and the iPlayer is a godsend! I almost never watch TV, but am quite happy to watch the good stuff via the iPlayer on-demand. This week's Doctor Who was amazing, and next week - The Daleks! I had the same problem trying to use Hulu from the UK (just out of curiosity), but have no desire to pay for the privilege.
